Street lights: CDA commits to restart installation
At the October 19 hearing before the Wafaqi Mohtasib, CDA's Director and Deputy Director of Streetlights attended alongside D-12 community representatives. According to the Security Committee's update, the Director said the pending installation work would begin within 10 days. A further hearing was sought about funding, and an October 22 SC update said the case remained active.
An October 26 community delegation update said the required funds were being processed by CDA's Finance Wing and formal approval was still awaited. The contractor had agreed to begin part of the work, and the Director said DG E&M would convene a meeting with the affected allottees and contractors to address the remaining work.
A delegation's October 27 update from its meeting with the CDA Chairman said payment files would be processed for fund release and the D-12/4 streetlight tender would be prioritized.
These are reported commitments and follow-up steps. The updates reviewed do not confirm that funds have been released or installation has started.
